Municipality of Tolophon

Eratini is the capital of the new Municipality of Tolophon. It has a population of 700 people and it is a beautiful small town near the sea, region's commercial center and an excellent resort. The Municipality includes: Glifada, a village near the sea, built on the foot and slopes of a fortification and historic hill, where still remains a significant ancient acropolis.

Across from the quickly developing Glifada, emerges the historic and picturesque island "Trizonia", a real oasis of recreation, with its small seaside villages: Hania and S p i l i a , from where someone can watch the picturesque Ai-Giannis island which is full of pines with its beautiful beach. At Trizonia there is an anchorage for tourist vessels.

The seaside villages of Kallithea : Agios Spiridonas (with a fishing refuge ), and Agios Nikolaos (with a daily ferry to Aigio). Tolophon (Vitrinitsa) with its beautiful beach , which is built on the ruins of ancient Tolophon. There you can see: Palaiokastro in the narrow passage of Xerias and on the steep projection and ther ruins of the Byzantine Church of "Evangelistria or Poliportous". Panormos (Pano and Kato Kiseli) is also a calm summer resort.

At Municipality's mountainous parts are: E l a i a (350m.), Kallithea (700m.), Makrini (700m.) and Milia (700m.).
Municipality of Tolophon has excellent seaside entertainment places, fishing places and nice hotels.
In the secluded bays of its seaside there are many fish farms.
In the fishing refuges of Eratini, Glyfada and Panormou anchor small vessels.
Municipality of Tolophon is a pole of attraction of tourists during the summer months with a prospective of dynamic development.
