The “Women society”, taking into consideration the love for the particular homeland and the Greek tradition, under a lot of predicaments and with a lot of labour, founded in 1988 the Folklore Museum in Kastriotissa.
Old objects of traditional art are gathered, representatives of the Popular Culture of Mainland Greece and generally, a noble offer of the residents of Kastriotissa and friends of the “Women society”. Authentic traditional costumes, objects from the pastoral and rural life, items of domestic use, wooden sculptures, embroideries, woven cloths, old photographs, documents and commemorative honorary medals impress the heroic Municipality of Kallieon and Fokidas’ history, and testify the way of life of previous years and the sacrifices her residents had to make during in the fights for the freedom of our homeland. More than 1000 folklore objects are exposed.
