The early
Christian Baptistery by the side of the Cathedral is considered to be very
important. It is a circular room Basilica with a mosaic floor. This
building was manufactured in the 3rd and 4th century AD. It consists of two
circular rooms - that was connected- One room is saved whereas the other one
was destroyed for the creation of a Christian temple. Today, in its place there
is the Cathedral of Amfissa. In the room there is an excellent system of
sewerage whereas the mosaic floor with the significant architecture is unique
in the region of Central Greece.
