PREFECT OF FOKIDA
The Prefect of Fokifa Mr. NICOLAOS FOUSEKIS of Dimitriou, was born in Amfissa in 1962. He is married and father of three children.
He holds a degree in Civil Engineering from NTUA and he speaks fluently the English Language.
In Local Government he has a long and successful course: In 1994 was elected first Civic Adviser of Amfissa, of all participant.
In 1998 was elected Mayor of Amfissa and in 2002 was re-elected Mayor from the first Sunday with percentage 52,2%, having two opponent participants.
From 1999-2006 he served as President of ΤΕΔΚ P. Fokidas and from 2004-2006 member of the education committee of ΚΕΔΚΕ.
He established and he was elected in the position of President which preserves until today:
2002: the Association Of Administration of Offal P. Fokidas (Σ.Δ.Α.Ν.Α.Φ)
2003: the pioneer in Greece ,with participation of the private sector, civil non profitable Company "Fokida Initiative"
2003: also the civil non profitable company : "Organization of Employment Advance and Progress of P. Fokida"
2004 - 2006: 2004-2006 He was elected President of Board of
Directors of the Organization Agricultural Progress of Sterea Hellas
(ΟΑΑΣΕ) - responsible for program implementation Ο.Π.Α.Α.Χ.
2006: He was elected president of outlier Ο.Κ.Α.Ν.Α in Amfissa, in the establishment of which he had crucial participation.
2004 - 2006: Member of the Board of Directors of Regional Development Fund of Sterea Hellas.
As Mayor of Amfissa, during 8 years he re-formed the town of Amfissa, with a series of projects he ran.
In the Perfecture elections of 2006 he was elected Perfect of Fokida with percentage 56,6%.
